Save the Date: «Solid tumours in children: interdisciplinary perspectives at UKBB»

Dear Colleagues,

Solid tumour diseases in children and adolescents pose a particularly great medical and emotional challenge for affected families as well as for the teams treating them. Today more than ever, optimal care requires close, well-coordinated cooperation between paediatric oncology, paediatric surgery, paediatric orthopaedics, paediatrics and other specialist disciplines.

With this in mind, we would like to invite you to our interdisciplinary mini-symposium
«Solid tumours in children: interdisciplinary perspectives at UKBB» followed by an aperitif in the foyer, in the UKBB auditorium.

The aim of this event is to give you a practical insight into modern diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for solid tumours in children, to present the role of the individual specialist disciplines in the treatment pathway and to highlight interfaces with outpatient paediatric and paediatric oncology care. We would like to use case studies to illustrate interdisciplinary collaboration, discuss current developments and promote dialogue with you as referring colleagues.
